FESTIVALS: Krakow Deadline Approaches

    {mosimage}KRAKOW: The 52nd Krakow Film Festival (www.krakowfilmfestival.pl) is accepting films for submission through Friday 10 February 2012.

    The festival which runs 28 May - 3 June 2012 has received over 2,000 submissions, including 139 films submitted for the Polish competition. .

    The festival announced the first titles selected for the festival. They include the Polish documentary Wiera Gran by Maria Zmarz-Koczanowicz. The film will be shown on TVP2 (www.tvp.pl), a coproducer of the festival, after its premiere at the festival

    The international documentary competition also includes the Norwegian-British film The Betrayal by Karen Winther; Motherland or Death (Russia, d. witalij Mansky); Riding for Jesus (Italy, d. Sabrina Varani).

    The short film competition is accepting films in three categories: documentary, fiction, and animation.
