Poland Signs Film Agreement with France

By FNE Staff

WARSAW: The Polish and French Ministers of Culture have signed an agreement covering film coproductions between the two countries, replacing an outdated 1970 agreement.

The agreement is expected to create more favorable financing, lowering the minimum for coproduction participation to 10% for Polish coproducers of French films (down from a 30% threshold previously), and allowing French producers to participate as minority production partners in Polish films. It should allow for easier agreements on promotion and distribution for the coproducers.
