WARSAW: Anna Kazejak, director of Flying Pigs, is in the process of casting teenagers for her dramatic feature film Słowo.
Słowo (Word) is a love story between two teenagers. The girl is in desperate need of structure and strives to see the world only in black and white. When her new relationship takes its toll on her, she reveals her true nature as an unfortunate series of events unfolds.
Kazejak has directed several awarded short and documentary films. In 2005 she made her feature debut Ode To Joy with Jan Komasa and Maciej Migas, winning the Special Jury Prize at the 2005 Gdynia Polish Film Festival. She also codirected the Polish version of the series In Treatment.
Kazejak and the production company Opus Film are holding casting calls all over Poland to find young actors from 14 to 18 years of age. The shoot is planned to take place 24 June 2013 to 30 July 2013. The film is supported by Silesia Film Commission.
