Steven Spielberg to shoot in Poland

    WROCŁAW: Steven Spielberg will shoot part of his new drama St. James Place starring Tom Hanks in Wrocław in November.

    St. James Place is an American-German coproduction based on a script written by the Coen Brothers. The script follows the first spy exchange between the USA and the Soviet Union. The cast includes Tom Hanks, Mark Rylance, Sebastian Koch and Amy Ryan. The film is set in New York and Berlin. The shoot in Wrocław is supported by the Wrocław Film Commission.

    "The shoot in New York already ended and now the crew is working in Berlin and Potsdam. The Wrocław shoot will take place in the second half of November and our city will represent Berlin at the turn of 50s and 60s" Rafał Bubnicki from the Wroclaw Film Commission told FNE. "A Steven Spielberg film is definitely the biggest project we have been a part of so far." he added.

    The film is produced by Steven Spielberg, Marc Platt and Kristie Macosko Krieger. The DoP for this project is accomplished Polish cinematographer Jan Kaminski and the music is composed by John Williams.The premiere is planned for 16 October 2015.
