WARSAW: Nominations for the 17th edition of the Polish Film Awards – The Eagles were announced on 5 February 2015 in Warsaw. Polish box office hits of 2014, Gods and Jack Strong, got the most nods.

The nominated films were chosen in 19 categories out of 42 feature films released in Polish cinemas in 2014 and 85 documentaries. Members of the Polish Film Academy voted from 15 January to 2 February 2015.

The most nominations went to Gods, a Polish box office hit of 2014, directed by Łukasz Palkowski. The biopic about Zbigniew Religa, produced by Piotr Woźniak-Starak and Krzysztof Rak of Watchout Productions with financing from the Polish Film Institute, received 12 nominations including Best Film, Best Screenplay and Best Actor. It was closely followed by Władysław Pasikowski's Jack Strong, produced by Scorpio Studio, with 11 nominations.

Polish Film Awards – The Eagles are organized by the Independent Film Foundation since 1999 and are considered to be the Polish equivalent of American Oscars, French Cesar awards and British BAFTA awards. The films are chosen by over 600 members of the Polish Film Academy in a two-step vote. The 2015 Polish Eagles Ceremony is planned for 2 March 2015 in Warsaw and will be nationally broadcast by TVP 2.
