    WARSAW: Polish Film Institute awarded the most significant achievements in promoting the domestic cinema both locally and abroad in the past year during a special gala held in Gdynia on 16 September 2015.

    Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage Małgorzata Omilanowska officially thanked Agnieszka Odorowicz for her 10 years as Director of Polish Film Institute and gave the nomination to her successor Magdalena Sroka. "I hope that during my time as Director I will be able to continue the great work Agnieszka did here during the past 10 years. I also hope that all the new solutions I'd like to introduce will be helpful to the film industry and that I will not let our filmmakers and film professionals down", Magdalena Sroka said in her speech.

    Polish Film Institute Awards were presented for the eighth time in several categories, all connected to film promotion.
