They will be the first multiplexes in these four towns. Each will have four screens with 600-700 seats and will be equipped with modern technology and food courts.
Helios informed FNE that the chain will also complete its previous plans of expansion in 2016 with new cinemas in Gdańsk (seven screens, 1,180 seats), Poznań (eight screens, 1,600 seats) and Przemyśl (four screens, 530 seats). In 2017 the chain will open new locations in Warsaw at the Blue City mall (eight screens, 1,500 seats) and Katowice (eight screens, 1,400 seats).
Helios S.A. is a part of Agora, one of the biggest Polish media companies, and it is currently the biggest Polish multiplex chain, holding 37 cinemas with 206 screens and 43,000 seats.
WARSAW: Poland’s Helios will expand with four new multiplexes in Krosno, Stalowa Wola, Tomaszów Mazowiecki and Wołomin. The first two multiplexes will be opened in 2016 with the second two following in 2017.
