GRANTS: Wrocław Film Commission Supports Five Productions

    WROCŁAW: The Wrocław Film Commission chose five projects to support with coproduction grants totaling 1.1 m PLN / 277,500 EUR, including new films from Borys Lankosz, Agnieszka Smoczyńska and Jan Jakub Kolski.

    The Wroclaw Film Commission Committee led by Rafał Bubnicki including Agnieszka Dziedzic, Dominik Kłosowski, Jerzy Pietraszek and Zbigniew Morawski, announced the results of the 9th edition of the Lower-Silesia Film Competition. The Committee had a budget of 1.1 m PLN including funding from the City Of Wrocław and Lower-Silesia Voidevoidship, as well as income from the films supported in previous years and made in coproduction with Odra-Film.  

    The biggest grant of 350,000 PLN / 82,999 EUR was assigned to the drama from Borys Lankosz entitled Ciemno, prawie noc / Dark, Almost Night produced by Aurum Film, followed by a 300,000 PLN / 71,142 EUR grant to Fuga, a drama directed by Agnieszka Smoczyńska, produced by MD4, and 250,000 PLN / 59,282 EUR for Ułaskawienie directed by Jan Jakub Kolski and produced by Wytwórnia Doświadczalna.

    The Wroclaw Film Commission supported four feature film productions and one documentary
