WROCŁAW: Polish box office hit director Patryk Vega is working on his new crime thriller entitled Plagues of Breslau and has announced that he has purchased rights to the Pitbull franchise with plans to release the new part in November 2021.
Patryk Vega is shooting Plagues of Breslau in Wrocław, where the crew will work until the end of June. The film is written, directed and produced by Vega himself through his company Vega Investments. The all-star cast includes Małgorzata Kożuchowska in the lead, accompanied by Ewa Kasprzyk, Iwona Bielska, Katarzyna Bujakiewicz, Tomasz Oświeciński, Maria Dejmek, Karol Bedorf and Jacek Beler. The premiere is planned for December 2018.
The director has also announced to the media that he bought the rights to his Pitbull franchise, a project that brought him the status of a hit maker, with first two parts Pitbull. New Order (at 1,433,466 admissions) and Pitbull. Dangerous Women (2,873,149 admissions) leading the box office in 2016. In 2017 he withdrew from directing the third part of the trilogy due to conflicts with the producer.
"I am happy to announce that I became the sole owner of the rights to the production of the next part of both the film and TV series versions of Pitbull, which I bought from ATM Group.
