By Katarzyna Grynienko
Tribeca Film (www.tribecafilm.com/tribecafilm), the distribution branch of the Tribeca Film Festival, will distribute the Polish co-production Essential Killing in cinemas as well as other multimedia platforms. The company announced it plans on 1 March 2011.

Essential Killing, a thriller about a political prisoner who plots his escape, was directed by Jerzy Skolimowski and stars Vincent Gallo and Emmanuelle Seigner.

"Since 2010, Tribeca Film has been not only a film festival, but a serious contender on the film distribution market, often mentioned alongside independent distributors such as Magnolia Pictures (www.magpictures.com) and Oscilloscope (www.oscilloscope.net). Since beginning its activity last year, Tribeca Film has screened 12 titles through a multi platform chain of distribution that includes cable television, VOD, satelite pay-per-view television, and distribution trough Amazon.com, iTunes, Vudu and Netflix Streaming," Joanna Ozobińska, PFI New York representative.
