BUCHAREST: Following the shooting of Goltzius and the Pelican Company in Croatia, Peter Greenaway is eyeing  the possibility of shifiting to Romania for a feature inspired by the life of the celebrated native son artist Constantin Brancusi.

The working title of the project, in early development stage, is Brancusi from Bucharest to Paris, and the film will follow the young artist and his extraordinary journey as he had walked most of his way from his home country's capital to the City of Light in the early 1900s.

The only production company involved at this point is the Romania's Abis Studio (www.abisstudio.ro) while  producer is Gabi Antal. Copel Moscu is executive producer. The news of Peter Greenaway prospecting the possibility of filming in Romania came at the third edition of Bucharest International Experimental Film Festival (www.bieff.ro), where Greenaway is honorary director this year.

The British director, who began his own career as a painter, then an editor, was in Bucharest at the closing gala on November 25 for the screening of his last film, Goltzius and the Pelican Company.
