    BUCHAREST: Carmen Harabagiu has stepped down from the position of Country Manager, Vice President of Original Production and Programming for HBO Romania, a position she had held since December 2005.

    Gordon Stanley Finlayson, General Counsel at HBO Europe, took over her duties, according to the Mediafax agency which is quoting anonymous sources in the media. An official announcement hasn't been made yet and Carmen Harabagiu couldn't be reached by FNE.

    During Harabagiu's management HBO Europe started producing original programmes in Romania such as the adapted series Stay with me/Rămâi cu mineand In Treatment/ În derivă, the original series Shadows/Umbre, the Emmy-winner documentary The World According to Ion B./Lumea văzută de Ion B. and the acclaimed Toto and His Sisters/Toto şi surorile lui, both by Alexander Nanau, and several other documentaries.

    HBO Romania also started the National Script Contest for short films, features and documentaries in partnership with Transilvania IFF (TIFF) in 2011, and a script contest for original series in February 2015.
