White God Wins MECEFF

    MEDIAŞ: Kornel Mundruczo’s White God was awarded Best Film at the 5th Mediaş Central European Film Festival (MECEFF) which took place in the Transylvanian town of Mediaş from 1 to 5 September 2015. 

    The best films of 2014 from Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary competed. The jury presided over by Wolfgang Ruf was composed of: Anca Mitran, James Ulmer, Costel Safirman and Călin Stănculescu.

    This edition focused on the WWI and its impact on the XX and XXI centuries. France was a special guest. The festival was organised by Ecran Cinema Management, the Mediaş Town Hall, Romanian Cultural Institute, Romanian Ministry of Culture, Romanian National Film Center (cnc.gov.ro), and the Târnave Region. The films will be screened also in Bucharest with an additional symposium from 24 to 27 September 2015.
