CLUJ-NAPOCA: Adrian Sitaru's incest drama Illegitimate, awarded the C.I.C.A.E. Award in Berlin’s Forum and Prix Sauvage at L’Europe autour de l’Europe Festival in Paris, will screen in the Romanian Days at the 15th edition of Transilvania IFF (TIFF, 27 May - 5 June 2016).

"In Illegitimate / Ilegitim humor and drama are intertwined in a tragicomedy about love (marital love, fraternal love, carnal love), breaking up, choices pro and con life, but also about physical love between brothers and sisters, which is a tabu subject despite the rich research conducted by specialists", Sitaru said.

Sitaru co-wrote the script together with Alina Grigore, who plays one of the main characters alongside Robi Urs, Adrian Titieni and Bogdan Albulescu. The cast also includes non-professional actors from the acting school InLight, founded by Alina Grigore and managed by Robi Urs.

The fourth feature by Adrian Sitaru was produced by Anamaria Antoci through Domestic Film, in coproduction with Poland's Film Produkcja and France's Damned Films, with the support of Altex and HBO Romania. This is an independent project.

The film was released in Romanian cinemas by Domestic Film on 18 March 2016 and has sold 7,874 tickets so far. Damned Distribution will release the film in France on 8 June 2016. The Paris-based sales agent Versatile Films is handling the sales.
