FNE at Adana Golden Boll Film Festival 2010 National Competition: Honey

    Director/writer/producer Semih Kaplanoglu scored an international success with his film Honey, winner of the Golden Bear when it premiered at the 2010 Berlinale. It opened in Turkey on 9 April, 2010.

    {mosimage}Honey is the final part of a trilogy about religious existentialism. The first film was Egg (Yumurta) made in 2007. The second one was Milk (Sut) made in 2008. The trilogy tells the story of Yusuf, with Honey covering the time period of his childhood.

    Honey was seen by 32,000 viewers and took in nearly 300,000 Turkish liras in local box office.

    The film was produced by Kaplan Film (www.kaplanfilm.com ), which is owned by director Kaplanoglu.
