Six Women Elected Onto European Film Academy Board

    The members of the European Film Academy (EFA), more than 3,300 film professionals from across Europe, have elected six women onto the EFA Board, the EFA's executive body. Each board member is elected for a period of two years and eight of the mandates were up for (re-)election.

    Re-elected were two female members of the board, Dagmar Jacobsen and Rebecca O'Brien. The six new board members are:

    Tilde Corsi, Italy, producer

    Ira von Gienanth, Germany, producer/distributor

    Angeles Gonzáles-Sinde, Spain, screenwriter

    Vanessa Henneman, the Netherlands, talent agent

    Agnès Jaoui, France, director/screenwriter/actress

    Ewa Puszczynska, Poland, producer

    They take over from Adriana Chiesa di Palma (Italy), Stephan Hutter (Germany), Cedomir Kolar (France), Goran Paskaljevic (Serbia), Antonio Perez Perez (Spain) and Jani Thiltges (Luxembourg).

    The EFA Board now consists of 11 women and five men, one chairwoman and two deputy chairmen:
