DOK.Incubator´s special focus on Czech and Slovak filmmakers

    In a week, a new, exclusive DOK.Incubator program for Czech and Slovak films starts. Their creative teams will meet talented directors, editors and producers from all over the world, to work together as peers, under a supervision of top European  editors, producers and dramaturgists.

    The new individually designed DOK.Incubator workshophas been developed not only for documentaries in the postproduction stage as the classical DOK.Incubator workshop, but as an individual support already during the shooting period, with at least 50% of the material shot.

    The directors, producers and editors of the films will come to focus the topic, find an own specific point of view, but also to finance the film from the international sources. The teams of Czech films „Girl Power“ dir. Sandra Maitahová (prod. Punk Film), „Dangerous World of Rajko Doleček“ of Kristýna Bartošová (MasterFilm), „Lorm‘s Alphabet“ of Pavel Jurda (prod. Radim Procházka), „FC Roma“ by Rozálie Kohoutová and Tomáš Bojar (nutprodukce) and „Art Detective Story“ by Andrea Culková (Duracfilm) will meet the team of „Journey to Success“ by Daniela Meressa Rusnoková (Leon Productions), to work together with other eight DOK.Incubator projects from the the international group to enable potential future coproductions.

    The workshop brings to Trest (CZ) and Banska Stiavnica (SK) a unique methology of film development through-out the pilot making, which makes filmmakers edit already from the very beginning of the shooting to focus the storyline and the topic of the future film.
