BELGRADE: The US/Serbian WW2 action drama Battle for Castle Itter has entered postproduction after having been entirely shot in Serbia from 15 February up to 7 March 2024. The film directed by Maximilian Elfeldt and lensed by Serbian Predrag Jočić will be released on Tubi. The production is planning to apply to Serbia’s cash rebate scheme.

BRATISLAVA: The acclaimed Slovak director Robert Kirchhoff is finishing production on the Slovak/Czech documentary Conspiracy of Silence / Konšpirácia ticha, which follows the story of Alfréd Wetzler and Rudolf Vrba, two Slovak Jews who escaped from Auschwitz in April 1944 and wrote a report about the gas chambers.

This mix of a black comedy, crime story, western and horror film is the first feature film in ex-Yugoslavia to be released in cinemas in Dolby Atmos technology. The film will be released in Slovenian Cinemas on 22 February 2024 by Fivia.
