TALLINN: A dark fantasy feature from  Rainer Sarnet was showcased at Baltic Event Works in Progress hosted at the POFF Black Nights Film Festival in Tallinn. The premiere is set for May 2016.

WARSAW: Letters to Santa 2, the sequel, to TVN's 2011 holiday box office hit, scored the best opening of a Polish film in 30 years with 586,000 admissions in the opening weekend, surpassing the record 502,000 tickets for Spectre the week before. The new Bond film is continuing strong with over 900,000 tickets sold in Poland since its opening on 6 November 2015.

WARSAW: Jacek Piotr Bławut is working on his debut film The Day Of Chocolate, which won the Krzysztof Kieslowski ScripTeast Award in Cannes IFF 2010. Studio Rabarbar is producing.

WARSAW: LA based media and production agency IN.TRIN.SIC has joined forces with Polish High Spot company representing Polish filmmakers and film professionals. The newly created High Spot In.Trin.Sic will be the official CEE European branch of the US company, based in Warsaw.

WARSAW: The British/American coproduction Martin Luther directed by David Batty will complete filming in the Małopolska region on 14 November 2015. No Sugar Films is the executive Polish producer.

WARAW: Polish sociologist, professor and university lecturer Piotr Gliński will replace Małgorzata Omilanowska as the new Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage.

WARSAW: Kino Polska TV S.A. has signed a contract with The Walt Disney Company Ltd. that will allow the broadcaster to air the newest Disney programming in Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia.

WARSAW: Polish studio Platige Image is working on a Polish/American live action coproduction based on Andrzej Sapkowski's bestselling saga about The Witcher. The premiere is planned for 2017.

WARSAW: US distributor The Orchard plans to release the Polish horror film Demon directed by the late Marcin Wrona in 2016.
