The jury appraised his look into the world of car tuning and social insecurities in North Bohemia by these words: “Martin Dušek pulls the viewer into the subculture of young people living empty lives in northern Bohemia; their view of responsibility and their own lives as presented authentically and with sympathy.” Special Mention Award went to Martina Malinová for Let’s Block. Her documentary is “a valuable report on the meaningfulness and futility of contemporary social activism.” The jury also praised the director’s ability to reflect acting of a community she is a member of.
