FESTIVALS: International Short Film Festival of Cyprus Announces Lineup

    LIMASSOL: The 6th International Short Film Festival of Cyprus will take place in Limassol from 15 to 21 October 2016. The festival will screen dozens of short films in the genres of fiction, documentary, experimental and animation, from Cyprus and abroad.

    The River by Georgia NicolaouParallel thematic screenings, tributes, music events and many other activities will enhance the festival’s programme.

    The International Jury will decide the following awards: First Prize for Best Short Film, Best Director Award, Second Prize for Best Short Film, First Prize for Best National Film, Second Prize for Best National Film, Best Documentary Award and Student Jury Award for Best Music Video.  

    The selection of films and programming of screenings and parallel events are undertaken by film directors Alexia Roider and Ioakim Mylonas.

    The festival is organised by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus and the Rialto Theatre. It is also under the auspices of the Mayor of Limassol, Andreas Christou, and is supported by the Cyprus University of Technology.
