The main program, with 12 docus that have backing from 14 countries, will be juried by award-winning Swiss director/producer  Fernand Melgar, head of African human rights fest Tri Continental Anita Khanna, Canadian cross-media platform expert Katerina Cizek and Czech documaker Radovan Síbrt.

Highlights will include: opening film Miners Shot Down by Rehad Desai, an account of systematic police assaults on South African protesters: a an ironic look at exorbitant preparations for the 2014 Sochi Olympics Putin's Game; Swedish filmmaker Linda Vastrik's look at life deep in the Congo Forest of the Dancing Spirits; Talal Derki's account of life under siege in Syria Return to Homs; and a three-year account of the trial of four members of a Hungarian gang charges with the murder of Roma, Eszter Hajdu's Judgment in Hungary.

Accompanying events include panel debates on Euro subsidies, the Syrian conflict, alternative housing, media, politics, socially engaged art, the Caucasus, employment in the EU, euthanasia rights and institutional care.
