By

PRAGUE: The 17th edition of the International Human Rights Film Festival One World, running from 2 to 11 March 2015 under the motto “Burst through your bubble!”, will explore the hottest topics and launch new sections.

Combating prejudice, apathy and hearsay in the Czech society is the goal of the 17th edition of the festival, a theme which extends across a whole range of films. The new categories are Captive Minds, featuring films about mental health, Learning Forever, which presents documentaries about education, and Yugoscope, honouring the 20th anniversary of the end of the war in former Yugoslavia.

These new sections add to the traditional programme, which includes The Power of the Media and So-called Civilization, featuring environmental themes, Journeys to Freedom, from countries in which “People in Need” operates, Panorama, Czech Perspectives, Main Competition and The Right to Know.

The festival will take place in Prague from 2 to 11 March 2015 and subsequently in 33 other Czech cities. Viewers of the Internet TV Stream.cz can already watch online and for free several documentaries from past editions
