PRAGUE: Radek Bajgar's Czech-Slovak comedy The Theory of Tiger, starring Jiří Bartoska, started shooting this week. Shooting will continue until 15 September 2015.
The Theory of Tiger tells the story of 60 year old successful veterinarian named Jan, who is fed up with being manipulated by his family and decides to start a new and risky life. Radek Bajgar also wrote the script. Starring with Bartoska, who is also the President of Karlovy Vary IFF, is Eliška Balzerová as Jan's wife and other popular actors such as Iva Janžurová, Táňa Vilhelmová and the Slovak actor Milan Lasica.
Petr Erben is producing through Logline Production in coproduction with the Czech TV and the Slovak RTVS.
The budget is 629,000 EUR/17 m CZK. The State Cinematography Fund of Czech Republic is supporting through its incentives programme The Czech distributor CinemArt plans to release the film in March 2016.
