November by Rainer SarnetTALLINN: Estonian Mart Taniel, the cinematographer of Rainer Sarnet’s November, and Hungarian Mate Herbai, who shot Ildiko Enyedi’s On Body and Soul, are nominated for the American Society of Cinematographers’ (ASC) Spotlight Award for 2017.
The other nominee is Mikhail Krichman for Loveless directed by Andrey Zvyagintsev. The nominees were chosen from among cinematographers who are not members of ASC and whose films were made outside the U.S. The winner will be announced on 17 February 2018.
November is an Estonian/Dutch/Polish coproduction between Homeless Bob Production, PRPL and Opus Film. The film will be released in the U.S. on 23 February 2018.
