PRODUCTION: New Wajda Studio production The Performer Wraps Filming

WARSAW: The Wajda Studio (www.wajdastudio.com) has completed shooting on its second feature film, The Performer, the directing debut from Maciej Sobieszczanski and Łukasz Ronduda.

The story combines fact and fiction and is based on the life of daredevil performer and star of the film Oskar Dawicki. The cast also includes two Berlinale Shooting Stars, Agata Buzek and Jakub Gierszal.

The director of photography is visual artist Łukasz Gutt (PSC), the production designer is Joanna Kaczynska, the costume designer is Marta Ostrowicz and the executive producer is Kuba Kosma.

The 300,000 EUR film is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute (www.pisf.pl) and Art Stations Foundation (http://artstationsfoundation5050.com). The film is produced by Wajda Studio and coproduced by Telewizja Polska (www.tvp.pl), Futro Film (www.futrofilm.pl), Heliograf (www.heliograf.pl), Film Factory (www.filmfactory.pl), and Artcore (http://artcore.pl).

The premiere is scheduled for spring 2013.
