WARSAW: Polish director Lidia Duda (Entangled) is working on a documentary, Everything is Possible (Wszystko jest możliwe), about a 78-year old female hitch-hiker, who – speaking almost no foreign languages – travels around the world on her 200 EUR pension.

Teresa began traveling after losing her job in 1989 and moving to the countryside, to combat depression, visiting 64 countries to date. Duda filmed her travels in Poland, Germany, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Bosnia and Herzegovina over 23 days. Shooting, which began on 28 April 2009, finished on 4 September 2012.

“Along with Teresa we get a glimpse of people she meets on the road, because they are the most important parts of her travels. We want to stress how those encounters enrich her,” Duda told FNE.

“It is a story about an elderly woman crosses boundaries between languages and nations. While watching her, we slowly dive into her mind to experience her practical wisdom.”

Everything is Possible is produced by Krzysztof Kopczyński’s EUREKA MEDIA (www.eurekamedia.info) in coproduction with Polish Television TVP S.A (www.tvp.pl). The documentary received financing from the Polish Film Institute (www.pisf.pl) and Media Development Loan Fund (www.mdlf.org). The budget is 478,285 PLN (116,250 EUR).

The film should have its premiere in spring 2013.
