    WARSAW: A new TVP and BBC Worldwide co-production is an epic drama set during WWI. It will premiere this November both in UK and Poland. The show's Polish producer is Apple Film Production.

    The Passing Bells sees war through the eyes of two very ordinary young men who enlist in expecting it will be over within months. This
    moving, powerful drama is written by award-winning writer Tony Jordan (Life on Mars, The Nativity, Hustle) and featuring an international
    cast: Patrick Gibson, Jack Lowden, Sabrina Bartlett and debuting, young Polish actress Erika Karkuszewska.

    This is a Red Planet Pictures and Apple Film co-production for BBC and TVP, in association with Lip Sync Productions and BBC Worldwide.

    "The Passing Bells is a high-quality production. During 42 shooting days the Polish and British film crew members became one. This series
    certainly fits well as a part of the public broadcasters’ mission," Dariusz Jabłoński, the CEO of Apple Film told FNE.

    Shooting of the show launched on 12 May 2014 and was conducted entirely in Poland. The production designer for this project was Ashleigh Jeffres, mostly recognized for his work on Game Of Thrones and Ewa Skoczkowska awarded with Emmy Prize for her work on
    Hindenburg. Titanic Of The Skies. DoP’s were Jacek Petrycki, BAFTA laureate for The Betrayed, and Tomasz Naumiuk.

    The series will premiere on TVP1 and BBC One on November 2014.
