Jacek Bromski to Head the Board of Polish Film Institute

    WARSAW: Renowned Polish film director, screenwriter and producer Jacke Bromski was named the Head of the Polish Film Institute Board by Minister of Culture and National Heritage Małgorzata Omilanowska.

    The celebratory announcement was made on 27 November 2014 at the Polish Film Institute headquarters in Warsaw. Edward Miszczak, TVN Board member, became the vice-chairman and the President of the Polish Audiovisual Producers Chamber Maciej Strzembosz was named the Secretary of the Board.

    The Board of Polish Film Institute members are responsible for choosing the direction of the Institute and give their opinion on PFI's yearly plans and activity reports. The Board has 11 members and is comprised of representatives of the film and television industry, including directors, producers, broadcasters and distributors. The members are chosen for three-year terms.

    The full list of the newly chosen Board includes Janusz Głowacki, screenwriter; Tomasz Jagiełło, President of Helios company; Jerzy Kapuściński, Director of TVP2; Dominique Lesage, film producer; Aleksander Myszka, lawyer and Polsat Board member; Włodzimierz Niderhaus, Director of WFDiF; Małgorzata Szumowska, film director; Anna Wydra, film producer at Otter Films.
