The Warmia-Mazury Regional Film Fund launched in Olsztyn as part of the Regional Film Office within the Education and Culture Initiative Center on 13 March 2016. The condition for applications was a connection of the topic of the film or TV series with the Warmia and Mazury region, as well as locating the production in the region so as to ensure the spending of the funds in the region and hiring local film professionals. A biographic connection of the filmmakers with Warmia and Mazury was an essential factor in getting the funds.
