Slovenian producer Danijel Hocevar and Polish director Malgorzata Szumowska will serve on the five-member jury selection the 2015 European Shooting Stars for European Film Promotion.
The jury will select ten rising young actors from those nominated by the 23 EFP member countries to be feted at the Berlinale.
Hocevar founded the production company Vertigo in 1994, which has produced over 40 feature films, emerging as one of the first production companies from the former Yugoslavia to become an active coproducer.
Szumowska’s outstanding directing credits include Berlinale Teddy winner In the Name of… produced by MD4.
The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region. The webportal and FNE newswire was chosen as the MAIN TOOL to achieve the network’s objectives of the sharing of know how, visibility of regional cultural diversity and finally the VOICE of the region.
