MGM Signs Distribution Agreement with Forum Film

    MGM signed a long-term distribution agreement with Forum Film, the distribution arm of Cinema City International NV (CCI), covering Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Israel, and includes both theatrical and DVD/BluRay Disc rights.

    For certain titles, Forum will also cover the Czech Republic and Slovakia for the studio.

    The pact includes new releases over a five-year period, as well as both of the two upcoming "Hobbit" films (set for release in 2012 and 2013) and the next two films in the long running "Bond" franchise, "Bond 23" (due 9 November 9) "Bond 24."

    Cinema City International is the largest multiplex theatre operator in Central and Eastern Europe and in Israel with 93 multiplexes and 885 screens. Forum Film companies are wholly owned subsidiaries of Cinema City International NV acting as film distributors in Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Israel. Forum Film has long relations with The Walt Disney Company and other leading majors and independent suppliers.
