Danielle Luca (Giulia Nahmany) has abandoned her Romanian roots to work her way up the ladder to Fashion Editor of Manhattan’s Beguile Magazine. But when the magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Vivien Thompson (Jane Seymour) steals her concept, Danielle loses her job and her boyfriend. With her reputation shattered, she returns to her home to Romania where she reconnects with her family and her teenage passion for designing clothes.
Damian and Alexandru Adrian Marinica wrote the script. Shooting started in Transylvania (Saschiz, Biertan and Sighisoara) on 31 October 2013 and will move to Bucharest on 13 November. Two days for establishing shots will be shot in New York City, producer Viorel Sergovici told FNE.
Sergovici is producing together with Stefan de Hillerin and Janeen Damian. The budget is 1.5m EUR. Seymour will spend five days in Bucharest for three days of shooting. Sergovici and Lulu de Hillerin are the DoPs. The cast includes David Oakes, Olivia Hallinan, David Lipper and Alexandra Weaver. The film is expected to be finished in March 2014. The premiere is set for April 2014.
