Romania to Launch Location Guide Project

    BUCHAREST: The New Romanian Cinema Association together with the local industry are launching Location Guide Romania, a project aiming to promote the country’s various shooting locations and production facilities.

    Locations Guide RomaniaLocation Guide Romania was officially launched at the AFCI Locations Show in Los Angeles (5-7 March 2015). Although in its early stages, Location Guide Romania plans to become an all-encompassing package with information regarding locations, film crews, available equipment and hiring rates. All the information will be provided free of charge to foreign producers. The Bucharest Tourism Board is also involved in the project.

    Founded by producer Iuliana Tarnoveţchi and managed by a team of cinema professionals with various experience, from producers and directors to marketing specialists, the New Romanian Cinema Association is an NGO with several missions including promotion and support for first time directors, seminars and workshops on Romanian cinema and international coproductions, and consultancy for financial opportunities and development programs. Location Guide Romania is the New Romanian Cinema Association’s first project.
