BRATISLAVA: Slovak producer/director Juraj Kilián debuts with Intrigues, a coproduction of the four Visegrad countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) mainly financed by the Visegrad Fund.

The 90,000 EUR historical comedy opened on 25 April 2013 in Slovakia, distributed by Continental Film.

Shooting took place at the Red Stone castle near Bratislava, the historical centre of Banská Štiavnica in the southern Slovakia and in Starý Smokovec´s Grand Hotel in the northern Tatra Mountains.

The film unfolds in three parts: one Slovak tale starring Slovak actress Nadežda Jelušová-Vladařová; a second adaptation of a Polish author Tadeusz Róžewicz set in 1920’s Warsaw, and the third set in Hungary in WWI.  This historical comedy offers three short stories filled with love affairs and dramatic endings.
