SARAJEVO: The European Film Forum hosted by the Sarajevo Film Festival's Regional Forum will discuss the future of the public funding of coproductions in the digital borderless world and the new ways that Southeast Europe is tackling cinema exhibition. 

BUCHAREST: The Romanian National Film Center (CNC) will organize a contest for a new general director on 3 September 2015.

PRAGUE: Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF), the Czech Television and the Aerofilms distribution company are working on the establishing a new distribution label, which will distribute films from around the world in the Czech Republic throughout the year.

The 21st edition of Sarajevo Film Festival (14-22 August 2015) will screen 23 documentaries, five of which were supported by various activities of Institute of Documentary Film (IDF). All of them are competing for the Heart of Sarajevo Award

SARAJEVO: CineLink's Work in Progress, at the Sarajevo International Film Festival, selected five projects including three features, a documentary and an animated film. The projects come from Romania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Austria.

MEDIAŞ: The best films of 2014 from Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary will compete at the 5th Mediaş Central European Film Festival (MECEFF) from 1 to 5 September 2015.

BUDAPEST: The Hungarian National Film Fund  has allotted production grants of approximately 11.5 m EUR for five feature films. Most of the funding went to Gabor Herendi's period romantic drama Kincsem.

TALLINN: B’EST EAVE Producers’ Workshop has selected eight projects and four participants without projects for its 4th edition taking place in St Petersburg, Russia from 7 to 11 September 2015, and in Tallinn, Estonia from 15 to 18 November 2015.

BUCHAREST: Nat Geo People will be launched in Romania by Telekom on 1 September 2015. Romania is the first Eastern European country where it will be launched after Denmark, Germany, Italy and Turkey.

VALLETTA: To commemorate Malta’s achievements in the film industry over 90 years, the Malta Film Commission will organise a concert on 25 and 26 September 2015. Malta Philharmonic Orchestra will perform some of the greatest soundtracks from movies shot in Malta.
