KARLOVY VARY: Bohuslav Sobotka, the Czech Prime Minister has said that an amendment to the audiovisual law that will increase transparency and grant up to around 180m CZK more support into the film industry should be approved in 2015.

Under the amendment the Czech State Cinematography Fund should receive around 200m CZK annually.

According to the Prague Post, during a visit to the International Karlovy Vary Film Festival (KVIFF), Sobotka said “This bill will really bring a change and I am glad that the film makers and producers present welcomed and supported it,”.
