PRAGUE: The Czech Lion Awards, the national awards of the film industry, announced the addition of three competition categories for television production.
The Czech Lions are organized by the Czech Film and Television Academy.
Voting was opened on 1 December to select the nominees. A total of 42 full-length feature, documentary and animated films which received theatrical distribution in 2015 are eligible for the awards. The nominees will be announced on 20 January 2016 and the Czech Lion Awards will take place on 5 March.
The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region. The webportal and FNE newswire was chosen as the MAIN TOOL to achieve the network’s objectives of the sharing of know how, visibility of regional cultural diversity and finally the VOICE of the region.
