FESTIVALS: New CEE Films Selected for Berlinale

    BERLIN: Polish minority coproduction The Days Run Away Like Wild Horses Over the Hills and a Slovak/Czech coproduction Goat/Koza have been selected for the Forum section of the Berlin Film Festival running from 5 to 15 February 2015.

    The Days Run Away Like Wild Horses Over the Hills by Marcin Malaszczak is a coproduction between Germany, Poland and the USA set to have its world premiere in Berlin. It stars Maria-Christine Brehmer, Stefania Malec and Natalie Warlow and the title comes from a book of poems by Charles Bukowski.

    Ivan Ostrochovský's debut feature Goat/Koza is a Slovak/Czech film produced by Ostrochovsky for sentimentalfilm and Czech producer Jiri Konecny for endorfilm. The project won the 10th edition of Works in Progress Award, presented at the Karlovy Vary IFF in 2014.

    The 45th Berlinale Forum will present a total of 43 films in its main programme, of which 31 are world premieres and 10 are international premieres.
