Vlad The Impaler: Blood Empire To Be Shot in Romania

BUCHAREST: After shooting The Mercenary: Absolution with Steven Seagal in March and April 2014, director Keoni Waxman is returning to Romania where he will start shooting entirely the four hour miniseries Vlad The Impaler: Blood Empire on 27 October 2014 with Castel Film again providing facilities.

Sales and financing outfit based in Los Angeles Fortitude International and 13 Films are announcing that the series stars Scott Adkins (The Bourne Ultimatum, Zero Dark Thirty) and Dominic Purcell (Prison Break, Blade: Trinity). Shooting will wrap 20 December.

The film follows the rise and fall of the Romanian prince Vlad Ţepeş whose life became a legend. The premiere is set for 2015.
