Ada SolomonBUCHAREST: Ada Solomon and Parada Film are developing the second feature of Vali Hotea, I Hate Berlin, a dark comedy about indecision and the fear of taking responsibility.
Hotea’s debut feature, Roxanne, was also produced by Ada Solomon. The script by Hotea and Ileana Muntean centers on a middle-aged man caught between two women and two cities, Bucharest and Berlin. Solomon told FNE that no German producer is attached to the project yet. The budget is expected to be approximately 1.5 m EUR.
I Hate Berlin received a development grant of 8,222EUR/36,262RON from the Romanian Film Center on 1 October 2014. Shooting is tentatively scheduled for 2016.
