BRATISLAVA: The multi-awarded docudrama Nicky’s Family by Matej Mináč was broadcast by BBC on its first channel on 27 January 2016, on the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Nicky's Family (2011) tells the story of Nicholas Winton, an Englishman who organized the rescue of 669 Czech and Slovak children just before the outbreak of World War II.

The film was produced by Patrik Pašš through Slovakia’s Trigon Production in coproduction with Matej Mináč through W.I.P. from the Czech Republic.

BBC and The Holocaust Memorial Day Trust also organized a public screening of Nicky’s Family in London on 22 January 2016.
