FESTIVALS: Four Student Films Compete at New Slovak Festival

    TRENCIANSKE TEPLICE: Four student films will compete for the main prize of the On the Road competition of international student films at the first edition of the new IFF Trencianske Teplice, which will take place 23-26 June 2016 in the Slovak spa resort town.

    The festival was established when Art Film Fest decided to move from Trencianske Teplice to the Eastern Slovak city of Kosice this year.

    Film students at selected Czech and Slovak film schools were eligible to apply. All four selected films come from the Czech Republic. All but one of the films were also written by the directors.

    Other sections include a selection of world cinema and a selection of the six Oscar nominees for the live action short competition.

    The films in competition are:

    Ve Vane / In the Bath (Czech Republic)
    Directed by Václav Fronk and Jakub Machala

    V Adamove Rochu / Naked (Czech Republic)
    Directed by Martin Velič

    Tatanin Dopis / Tatiana’s Letter (Czech Republic)
    Directed by Jiří Horenský

    Lhari / Liars (Czech Republic)
    Directed by Robert Hloz
