DOK.Incubator Rough Cut Workshop Is Calling for Participants

IDFA, CPH:DOX, DOK Leipzig, MoMA´s Documentary Fortnight, and even SUNDANCE Festival: those are the festivals where the participating films of the 2012 edition of DOK.Incubator started their road to success. After six months of hard work at editing and distribution, all eight participant projects have gained international recognition. In addition, five of them are discussing or have already signed contracts with key European sales agents.

DOK.Incubator provides individual tutoring by top European editors, producers, and sales agents for documentary projects from the rough cut stage to its release. The participants sharpen the final cut, emphasize the film’s international potential, and work sophistically and creatively with marketing and distribution, using the newest distributional tools – new media, social networks, and online distributional platforms. At the end of the process, the workshop initiative introduces their films to renowned sales agents and distributors during an exclusive preview at the DOK Leipzig industry market. We are searching for artistic European documentaries aiming for a theatrical release, festival life, and wide international distribution.
For films with a premiere planned for the autumn 2013 and a rough cut ready at the start of May (2013), more info and online submissions are available at www.dokincubator.net; DEADLINE: MARCH 5th 2013!
