PRAGUE: The nominations for the 22nd annual Czech Lion awards will be announced on 14 January 2015.

One of the best-known Polish film directors Krzysztof Zanussi arrives in Tallinn today. Zanussi acclaimed international fame with his first full-length features “Struktura krysztalu” (1969) and “Family Life” (1971). Tonight he will present his latest “The Foreign Body” (2014) at a red carpet special screening at the Black Nights Film festival. “The Foreign Body” premiered at this year’s Toronto film festival.

Mikael Persbrandt’s international career kicked off with the foreign language Oscar winning film by Susanne Bier “In a Better World” (2010) that also won him the title of best actor at the Black Nights.

TBILISI: The 15th Tbilisi International Film Festival will open on 1 December 2014 with The President shot in Georgia by Mohsen Makhmalbaf, who will present the film.

BYDGOSZCZ: Russian cinematographer Mikhail Krichman won the main competition of the 2014 edition of Camerimage for Leviathan and Kacper Fertacz won the Polish competition with Hardkor Disko.

WARSAW: Exhibitor and real estate company Global City Holdings posted three month and nine month declines in net profits in its interim statement for 2014.

Traditionally, the festival will sum up the year of art house cinema and will offer numerous interesting events to the audience apart from presenting the finest works of the year. Meetings with famous filmmakers and Industry Professionals, Master Classes and Conferences will be held along the screenings for 7 days. The festival will intend again to present the current picture of World and local Cinema.

Slovenian producer Danijel Hocevar and Polish director Malgorzata Szumowska will serve on the five-member jury selection the 2015 European Shooting Stars for European Film Promotion.
