SOFIA: Biljana Tutorov represents Serbia at the European Film Promotion’s 2018 Producers on the Move event taking place 10-14 May during the Cannes Film Festival.
Tutorov has perhaps one of the most eclectic backgrounds of any Producer on the Move. She studied art history in Belgium, moved to Paris and studied at the Jacques LeCoq theatre school, moved to India, where she learned an ancient martial art form, and then made her first fiction film.
In 2010, she founded Wake Up Films, which produced Tutorov’s film When Pigs Come, a feature-length documentary and coproduction with Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
She participated in East Doc Platform and in the regional competition programmer for Free Zone Film Festival.
She is producing the Serbian/Croatian/Slovenian documentary Lost Dream Team directed by Jure Pavlovic.
