Robert Geisler and Tomáš Hodan penned a classic tale about a friendly hell, a beautiful innkeeper, a sluggard who wants to get rich too quickly, corrupt counsellors and a young devil, who eventually saves everybody and earns the affection of his beloved one. The story teaches us that those who want to cancel hell do not mean well and that we all must work hard to deserve our place in heaven.

The film is produced by Ondřej Beránek and Martin Hůlovec through Punk Film in coproduction with Patrik Pašš through Slovakia’s Trigon Production and also with the Czech Television, Michal Bauer, the Barrandov Studio, RTVS and the Magic Lab. The budget of approximately 2.3 m EUR / 60 m CZK is supported by the Czech State Cinematography Fund, the Slovak Audiovisual Fund and Eurimages.

Shooting started on 31 July and is expected to wrap on 15 September 2017. Shooting takes place on location in the Czech Republic, with some additional days in Slovakia.

The distributor Falcon plans the theatrical release for November 2018.
