WROCLAW: Western, a German/Bulgarian/Austrian coproduction directed by Valeska Grisebach, won both the International Competition Grand Prize and the FIPRESCI Award at the 17th T-Mobile New Horizons International Film Festival. The festival took place from 3 to 13 August 2017.

WROCŁAW: Nine Polish projects currently in production and postproduction were showcased during the last day of Polish Days, an industry event held at T-Mobile New Horizons IFF (3-13 August 2017). The list includes new projects by Łukasz Palkowski, Bartek Konopka and Bodo Kox.

WARSAW: The upcoming sale of Scripps Networks Interactive by Discovery Communications for 14.6 m USD will have a major influence on the leading Polish private broadcaster TVN which is owned by Scripps Networks Interactive. The sale is planned to be finalized at the beginning of 2018.

GDYNIA: A total of 17 films will compete in the main competition of the 42th Gdynia Film Festival, set to take place from 18 to 23 September 2017.
