WARSAW: Polish director Marek Koterski is currently shooting 7 Emotions / 7 uczuć, with an all-star cast including Marcin Dorociński, Maja Ostaszewska, Andrzej Chyra, Robert Więckiewicz, Katarzyna Figura and Magdalena Cielecka.

WARSAW: Polish public broadcaster (TVP) is currently in production with Crown of Kings, a major costume TV series directed by Wojciech Pacyna about the life of Casimir III the Great. The show is a local attempt to tap into the costume drama soap opera genre which became very popular in Poland thanks to the Turkish production The Magnificent Century: Kösem, a big hit for TVP in 2016. 

WARSAW: Polish Film Institute distributed 618,200 EUR / 2.6 m PLN to 13 documentaries, including new projects by Marcel Łoziński and Radka Franczak. 

The following production grants have been announced on 19 July 2017.

WROCŁAW: Five completed works, nine works in progress and 11 new projects will be presented in the Polish Days from 8 to 10 August 2017, during the 17th T-Mobile New Horizons IFF.  Polish Days is organized annually by T-Mobile New Horizons IFF in cooperation with the Polish Film Institute.

WARSAW: Writer/director/producer Jan Jakub Kolski is working on a new drama, the Polish/Czech coproduction Pardon. Shooting is planned for autumn of 2017.

WARSAW: Polish Film Institute chose nine new feature films to support in the 2nd funding session of 2017, including new projects by Maciej Pieprzyca, Jan Komasa, Dariusz Gajewski and Jacek Borcuch.

The following production grants were announced by the Polish Film Institute at its second session on 14 July 2017.

WARSAW: TV series 18 - Clash of Futures, an international coproduction involving over 15 broadcasters, wrapped shooting in July 2017. The series follows the fates of extraordinary men, women and children from France, Germany, Italy, UK, Austria, Sweden, Poland and the Soviet Union in the dramatic era of the 1920s and '30s, using their own diary entries, letters and memoirs. This is the first international TV series production for Wajda Studio.

WARSAW: Acclaimed young Polish director Michał Rogalski has just finished shooting his new feature film Exterminator, a comedy based on a hit theater play. The premiere is planned for January 2018.
