CLUJ-NAPOCA: Gabriel Achim's second feature The Last Day / Ultima zi, an independent thriller about faith, fidelity and forgiveness, will screen in the Romanian Days at the 15th edition of Transilvania IFF (TIFF, 27 May - 5 June 2016).

CLUJ-NAPOCA: Using the same mix of animation techniques as she did in Crulic - The Path to Beyond (Aparte Film), Anca Damian tackles the second part of her trilogy on heroism with the life of Adam Jacek Winkler (1937-2002), a 20th century Polish Don Quixote. The Magic Mountain will screen in the Romanian Days at the 15th edition of Transilvania IFF (TIFF, 27 May - 5 June 2016).

TBILISI: Dea Kulumbegashvili is developing her debut feature, Red Sunset / Daisi (working title), set for shooting in fall/winter 2017.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: Marian Crişan’s Orizont, which is loosely based on the classical Romanian novella The Mill of Good Luck / Moara cu noroc by Ioan Slavici, will screen in the Romanian Days at the 15th edition of Transilvania IFF (TIFF, 27 May - 5 June 2016).

CLUJ-NAPOCA: Ionut Țeianu's documentary In Search of the Lost Father / În căutarea tatălui pierdut will have its world premiere in the Romanian Days at the 15th edition of Transilvania IFF (TIFF, 27 May - 5 June 2016) before hitting the cinemas.

BUCHAREST: Little England by Pantelis Voulgaris (Greece) won the Audience Award at the 20th European Film Festival organised by the Romanian Cultural Institute. The festival took place in six Romanian cities from 5 to 29 May 2016.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: Paul Negoescu's independent feature Two Lottery Tickets / Două lozuri will screen in the Romanian Days at the 15th edition of Transilvania IFF (TIFF, 27 May - 5 June 2016). The film is a Romanian/Spanish coproduction.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: Adrian Sitaru's incest drama Illegitimate, awarded the C.I.C.A.E. Award in Berlin’s Forum and Prix Sauvage at L’Europe autour de l’Europe Festival in Paris, will screen in the Romanian Days at the 15th edition of Transilvania IFF (TIFF, 27 May - 5 June 2016).

BUCHAREST: Cristian Mungiu’s Graduation/Bacalaureat, awarded Best Director ex-aequo for its Cannes premiere, sold 9,671 tickets in the first weekend. The film was released on 19 May 2017.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: The dark comedy Eastern Business/Afacerea est from Moldavian director Igor Cobileanski will screen in the Romanian Days at the 15th edition of Transilvania IFF (TIFF, 27 May - 5 June 2016). The film is the first Romanian/Lithuanian coproduction.
